2019 Resilient Australia Awards
Posted on April 17, 2019
In its 20th year, the Resilient Australia Awards are encouraging and empowering students to find unique and creative ways of being agents of change in their communities; often in partnership with local emergency services.
The awards support and promote shared responsibility for resilience, celebrating initiatives that make communities safer and better prepared for hazards and emergencies.
Dixons Creek Primary School were awarded the National School Award in 2018 for the Firestick project, where students learn about fire management from Indigenous Elders.
Submissions are open until 17 May in every state and territory for community, government, local government business, school and photography categories. State and territory winners will be considered for national awards.
